  • Why should I use the services of « MyDog&Travel » ?
    Because you love traveling and you love your dog... and you don't want to have to choose between the two! Your dog and you are both at the heart of your projects: the trips are tailor-made for you and with you, according to your desires, your needs and your particularities. You are unique, so is your trip! And then, there are also the advantages of traveling with the help of a Travel Planner. Just to give you an idea... Main advantage: using a Travel Planner is to ensure all the pleasure of the trip without the constraints and the fatigue of the organization. Another significant advantage: the expertise in key languages. Because you want to travel abroad but you may not be a polyglot. Let's face it ! Nobody's perfect 😅 No worries, the Travel Planner manages the research and can contact the providers for you. Maybe you have special needs? Disabled, senior, large family, categorized dogs, BARF fed dog (FYI, so is Nox).... the Travel Planner can help you with the organization of your trips. So, don't hesitate, tell me more about you and your project! 😊
  • But what exactly is the difference with a travel agency?
    First difference - The objective of a travel agency is to sell a large number of trips to a large number of clients, so your contact will necessarily have less time to spend with you. The proposed rates can indeed be interesting if you go on a group or organized trip, but for a customized trip and/or individual, the rates will be much higher. Second difference - A travel planner, whoever he may be, is not authorized to make reservations and that is why you can benefit from more attractive rates since you book directly with the service providers, without any intermediary. With MyDog&Travel, you are not only independent and master of your trip but your only expense apart from your stay costs will be my service.
  • Can you help me choose my destination?
    Sure ! If you are hesitant about your next destination or need advice on where to stay, contact me by email or via the contact form. I will be glad to help you 😊.
  • I have already booked some services, can you help me organize the rest?
    No worries. I can organize the whole or just a part of your trip: you may have already booked your flights or bought your train tickets, I can propose you a selection of accommodations, create you a customized itinerary, search for dogfriendly activities and good addresses on your stay place. Simply contact me, I will adapt to you and offer you a personalized service.
  • How can I get in touch with MyDog&Travel?
    You can contact me either via the form provided on the Contact Me page of the website or by email at contact@mydogandtravel.com I will then get back to you to learn more about your travel project and to determine which formula would best meet your expectations.
  • When can I request the services of MyDog&Travel?
    There is no specific deadline, but ideally, as soon as you have your travel idea. Indeed, the earlier you plan your vacation, the more you will benefit from the best booking prices. I therefore advise you to think about your trip a few months in advance in order to benefit from the best rates and especially to ensure you have the best options in terms of dogfriendly accommodations. Unfortunately, the closer the dates of your stay are, the more complicated it becomes to find availability that meets the « dogfriendly » criteria. If however, you wish to leave in 1 month, I will obviously be happy to study your request and help you make it happen 😊.
  • I want to leave on short notice, is it possible?
    To be perfectly honest, it depends 😅! I will obviously analyze the possibility of organizing your trip according to the season and your budget, and we will then validate together the feasibility of it.
  • Can we consider a multi-country trip?
    Of course! I adapt to each request: if you wish to make a combined trip through several countries (France, Switzerland and Italy, for example), I will study the feasibility of your request and will propose you an estimate according to these specific criteria.
  • What if I don't like one of the proposed activities or if the weather gets capricious? Can I ask to change it?
    It is indeed possible that one of the proposed activities is not convenient for you or that rain is finally foreseen during your stay. If you wish to make a change to the activities before you have made your reservations, please let me know and I will make a new search until you are satisfied. If, on the other hand, you plan to make changes during your stay, I can only encourage you to subscribe to the "VIP Assistance" option which will allow you to contact me during your vacation. [see detailed explanation in the next question] During your stay, I also remain available via the WhatsApp application if you have any doubt or question.
  • Is it possible to contact you during the trip to make changes?
    Yes, by subscribing to the "VIP Assistance" option. You will be able to contact me via the WhatsApp mobile application during your stay. The advantage of this application is that it will allow you to contact me from abroad if needed, using a Wi-Fi connection to avoid overcharging your cell phone. This "VIP Assistance" option can be subscribed to for an additional fee and can be activated before your departure or during your stay, regardless of the formula you have chosen, in case you wish to benefit from MyDog&Travel's services during your entire stay. Whether it is a question of modifying an activity because of capricious weather, the sudden urge for an additional activity or the unexpected need to fill a hole in the schedule with good additional dogfriendly addresses... these are some examples of possible assistances.
  • Do I have insurance coverage?
    Since you are personally in charge of the reservations, each one of them is your responsibility. It is therefore up to you to subscribe to a cancellation and/or repatriation insurance, depending on the case, if you wish (which I strongly recommend). MyDog&Travel service does not include insurance.
  • What price will I pay for your service?
    You will be charged the price indicated on the estimate that we will have validated together and according to which you will receive the invoice to pay. I propose 4 formulas, depending on the type of trip you wish to make. The basic rates are degressive and vary according to the duration of the stay and the complexity of its organization. The final price, the one indicated on the estimate, will thus depend on the chosen formula, the number of persons/dogs and the number of days of travel to be planned.   • Which payment method is accepted?
    You may pay for my services by bank transfer, or secure payment via Paypal.
  • When do I have to pay for the service?
    The service is to be paid before the beginning of the research. It is the time spent to conceive your trip that you pay with MyDog&Travel. This work of research and of custom-made conception requires a lot of time⏳, it is thus this time which is charged to you 😊
  • Is it possible to get a refund?
    No refunds will be possible as it is the time spent on research and trip design that is charged. Your payment automatically triggers the start of my research, based on our exchanges and the criteria validated together.
  • Can I change my mind after I've paid for your services?
    We define together the different criteria that govern my research: destination, travel dates, number of people/dogs, types and number of activities, etc. These criteria are defined before your payment and are essential to the research and design of your trip: it will not be possible to change them afterwards. However, as far as my proposals are concerned, when you receive them, if some of them do not suit you, I continue my research until they match perfectly with your expectations. If, on the other hand, you wish to modify one of your departure criteria, an updated estimate to be validated as well as a new invoice will be sent to you.
  • Are the proposed prices frozen?
    No price is guaranteed, that's why I advise you to book as soon as possible if you are interested in the offer, ideally within 12 hours after receiving my proposal. I will also inform you by SMS of the sending of the email, so that you can quickly acknowledge it and proceed with the reservations 😊. If the price increases significantly or there is no availability less than 24 hours after sending the booking link, I will continue my search. If, on the other hand, the price changes or there is no availability after this 24 hour period, no further research will be done.
  • How do I proceed to book the services myself?
    Following our exchanges and my research, a document listing all the services selected for your trip is sent to you by email, with the corresponding booking links. When you are satisfied with the overall proposal, you just have to click on the various booking links to book the corresponding services. Once you have made your reservations, you will receive your personalized Travel Log.
  • What exactly is a Travel Log?
    The Travel Log is a guide especially designed for you, gathering all the essential information for the smooth running of your trip. It includes, if necessary, your transportation and accommodation reservations, practical information on the destination, suggestions for good addresses, selected visits and activities, your itinerary, a suggested daily program...   • In which format will I receive it?
    Your travel log is sent by email in PDF format. This digital format will allow you to consult it anywhere from your smartphone, tablet or computer. You can even print a paper version to leaf through it as often as you like during your stay and always have it handy in your bag. And incidentally, the Travel Log shall also allow you to keep an imperishable souvenir of your vacations by embellishing it with your own photos! 😎
  • When will I receive my Travel Log?
    The design of your Travel Log begins as soon as the organization of your trip is completed and its finalization is possible as soon as I have confirmation that you have made all your reservations on your side. It is generally sent to you between 2 weeks and 1 month before your departure, depending on our research schedule. If it's a last minute trip, your Travel Log will be sent to you a few days before your departure.
  • Despite all my efforts to anticipate, your question remains unanswered?
    You don't know which formula would suit you best... You have a project that does not fit in my proposals.... You have very specific constraints: your dog is fed on BARF (like Nox ;)).... Please do not keep on wondering, CONTACT ME 😉
