MyDog&Travel
Hi, I am Sabrina, pleased to meet you!
Let me briefly introduce myself.
Professionally speaking, for the past 20 years, I literally rubbed myself in various "universes": languages, tourism and administration. I therefore have a solid experience in translation, international project management, events organization (eg. international conferences), travels (professional, personal, international sports seminars and competitions), and I was even Tourist guide at one point.

In my life just before MyDog&Travel, I was a Project Engineer at the university, in charge of the promotion of research and then of international relations. And after more than ten years of helping researchers and students in their quest for grants and in the realization of their national and international projects, I finally admitted that I had been through all the aspects of this job.
And so I finally decided to take a different path and to make my own project a reality ;), MyDog&Travel
Personally speaking, I have a somewhat atypical profile, a globetrotter at heart. Coming from a "Latin" family, I grew up in France in the Bordeaux region, I studied in the UK, worked in Brussels but also in the Canadian Rockies and travelled to at least 15 countries - Spain, Portugal, Canada, Scotland, Ireland, the UK, Greece, Finland, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands - and as many regions of France...
I am therefore fluent in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. And if needed, I can also use written communication in Italian and German :)
Moreover, as the daughter of two travel agency managers, Spanish and Portuguese (respectively), it is quite obvious and safe to say that I fell in love with travel and foreign languages when I was a child.

As you can see then, travel, foreign cultures and languages are my passion!
But I have another devouring passion: our furry friends the dogs and more particularly, my labradorette Nox. She is the black-haired puppy who displays her face all over the pages of this website! It is also her who gave me the idea of this beautiful project that is MyDog&Travel. A project that allows me today to reconcile my two passions.

With my experience of tourism and especially the arrival of Nox in my life, quite simply. Because I love travelling and I love my dog... and I didn't want to have to choose between the two anymore!
In my family, we always have had dogs but Nox is a little bit special: she is MY dog and from the very first moment, I wanted her to accompany me everywhere, especially when I travel and this opened my eyes to another reality.
Welcoming a dog in your daily life means totally adapting your lifestyle to this new companion. He/she becomes a member of the family in his/her own right, like a child, but a "special" child, I must admit (not only regarding his/her furiness of course :)).
So you adapt, but the world of tourism does not necessarily adapt as fast as you do. And this is where things get complicated for you as responsible and loving owners. As a result, the life of a globe-trotter also becomes a little more complicated because it requires much more organization, more anticipation, more research, more negotiations...
But fortunately, nothing is insurmountable! Especially when you are motivated and dedicated.
Nevertheless, you have to accept to spend more time on research. Much, much more time.

And that's where the problem lies: we all lack time with our busy schedules, our families, our friends, our activities and everything that makes up our daily lives in general.
So, as it is especially TIME that we lack, I had the idea of founding MyDog&Travel, Travel planner dogfriendly!
